Como ha asegurado el cantante de la ya mítica banda irlandesa a un rotativo británico, el nuevo álbum que están grabando sorprenderá a propios y extraños, ya que su nuevo sonido tendrá influencias que caminan desde el trance al metal más duro. Todo un cambio de aires para un grupo que no ha parado de reinventarse.

"Los fans sentirán la diferencia. Hay algunas influencias trance, pero tambiíén hay guitarras muy hardcore que está componiendo The Edge. Verdadero metal", declaró Bono al diario The Independient.
Tras sus últimos discos, U2 sentía que tenía que renovarse y que mejor manera de hacerlo que cambiar de aires. La formación dublinesa viajó primero a Marruecos, a la ciudad de Fez, para realizar la primera de las sesiones de grabación, en la que han colaborado los clásicos productores Brian Eno y Daniel Lanois. Tras su paso por el país norteafricano los irlandeses recalaron en Francia, donde realizaron las dos últimas sesiones de grabación realizadas hasta ahora.
El disco que sucederá en la larga discografía que atesoran Bono, The Edge y compañía a How to dismantle an atomic bomb no tiene todavía fecha definitiva para su salida a la calle, pero lo que sí es seguro es que traerá un aire fresco a lo publicado en los últimos años.
