Supporting Horslips

Sharon will be performing as a special guest in support of Horslips this Thursday, 3rd of December. The show is in the Odyssey Arena in Belfast, Ireland. Sharon will be playing a 30 minute set before the band take to the stage. Tickets are still available on ticketmaster.ie.

Sharon was invited to perform by a memebr of the band, Jim Lockhart, shortly after he came into Windmill Lane studio to record as a guest on her album.

Horslips were one of the first bands to create a fusion of Celtic and Rock music, and they paved the way (and were an inspiration) for the Corrs’ mix of Celtic-Pop.

Fantastic news! Sharon’s Children in Need single is now #1 in the Amazon CD singles charts, beating X-Factor, Peter Kay and Cheryl Cole …. and it hasn’t been released yet!

The CD is a double A-Side with Me And My Teddy Bear by Sharon and Silver Bells by Sir Terry Wogan & Aled Jones.

Según ha "twitteado" hoy Sharon, hay una nueva colaboración en marcha, pero, de momento, tiene los labios sellados:

En una entrevista que le hacen a Sharon y a otros artistas irlandeses en el último número de HOTPRESS Magazine, hablando sobre el tema de la piraterí­a y todo eso, la violinista confiesa que lleva gastados 280.000 euros en el disco (de este comentario se deduce que no está muy a favor). Justifica este gasto con el alquiler del estudio y el pago a la larga lista de músicos que "desinteresadamente" se han ofrecido a colaborar y poner su talento en este proyecto.

Esto justificarí­a por quíé hay tantos retrasos con este cd...

En Twitter dijo que va a incluir una colaboración más en el cd...

El director del video "Me and my teddy bear" ha hablado!

“As the Director I would like to tell you all how much fun we had making the video. Sharon was wonderful and BobHPortlandOr you are right, what an actress!  (I still laugh every time I see Sharon feeding Pudsey the toast.)  I would like to thank all the people that gave their time to help get this video made. Especially Academy Costumes for the wonderful wardrobe they gave us for Sharon and a big well done to the little boy Archie on his first ever acting role.

I’d also like to state that the battered and torn “Stunt” Pudsey seen given to the “Young Sharon” in the video has been fully repaired and has found a loving home.  Congrats to everyone involved, especially Norm & Hellen who put all this together and a special big thank you to Sharon for being so much fun to work with and giving us all a special day to remember.”
