IRISH superstars The Corrs are returning next year with a series of gigs across Ireland, the UK and the US, the Irish Sun can reveal.Siblings Andrea, Sharon, Caroline and Jim have told pals they miss playing together and want to get back on the road doing what they do best. The Corrs last toured in 2016 and had a one-off gig in London in 20172The Corrs last toured in 2016 and had a one-off gig in London in 2017Credit: Dan Jones - The SunSinger Andrea in band's 1999 heyday2Singer Andrea in band's 1999 heydayCredit: ReutersA band insider told the Irish Sun: “Performing together is second nature for The Corrs. They love doing it and the reaction they get from crowds when they play.”The live dates will be a change of scene for singer Andrea, who spent the past two years penning emotional memoir Barefoot Pilgrimage, which was published by Harper Collins in October.'STREAM OF CONSCIOUSNESS'A music biz insider who has read the book describes it as “the total opposite to the rags to riches to rehab” autobiographies you’d expect from pop stars."The source added: “Some of it is stream of consciousness but it’s very readable and almost a grief memoir.“Andrea writes about the impact of the death of her brother Gerard, who was killed in a road accident when he was three years of age.“She also opens up about how difficult she found it dealing with her parents’ death, as well as her own belief system and understanding her place in the world.”SOUNDMEN 'GOBSMACKED'Publishers Harper Collins have arranged a lengthy promotional schedule for the mum-of-two to promote her memoir, which is attracting interest worldwide. However, the 45-year-old is expected to be ready to return to frontwoman duties once her book tours are over. The Dundalk siblings left soundmen ‘gobsmacked’ at venues on their last European tour in 2016 by turning up to play huge arenas “without a computer”, the source told us.The insider said: “All the big names use computers at their shows.“The Corrs don’t need one because they are naturally in tune as a family of musicians who play all their instruments.”'AN IRISH WALL OF SOUND'Venues were also shocked at how loud the Co Louth band sounded. The source explained: “You’ve got bodhrans and drums on the low end, and fiddles and whistles on the top end. It’s an Irish wall of sound, and that’s before Jim plugs in his guitar, and the bass and keyboards which fill up all the rest of the frequencies.”The Corrs sold 45million records before taking time out in 2006. Their second album Talk on Corners was the bestselling record in the UK in 1998, shifting 2.9million copies and spawning four top ten singles.A band insider said the key to their success was timing.

Taking everything into account over our journey from our first approach to watching the bands brilliance on stage when they performed live at Hope Estate was an incredibly proud achievement by my team. I observed the tenacity of their agent in the UK, refusing to give in regardless of the obstacles which spurred our resolve here in Australia to bring this project home. Adding the spectacular display of the choreography of 500 drones moving in synch to the final two songs during the encore is another achievement of which we are proud.” “What a band, what a night, what an experience, more than great memoriesin music, a band that hasn’t missed a beat and presented one ofthe concerts of the year”One of Australia’s most loved pop artists, Natalie Imbruglia first stole our hearts over a quarter of a century ago with her chart topping smash hit cover of the iconic track, Torn, the most played song on Australian radio since 1990!
