Nacido el 18 de Mayo de 1952, George Strait es casi un desconocido en España siendo el artista más premiado de EE UU y quizá del mundo.
Ha llovido mucho desde aquel primer single titulado "Unwound" publicado en el año 1981 e incluido en su primer álbum; "Strait Country", desde entonces la carrera del artista americano ha ido de íéxito en íéxito hasta que recientemente sus propios compañeros lo declararon artista de la díécada.
Su obra abarca unos veintiocho álbumes y como curiosidad diremos que entre sus canciones se incluyen varias con títulos tan cortos como: "Go", "True" y dos canciones con el mismo título totalmente distintas: "Run".
Aprovechando las fiestas navideñas muy propicias a los regalos, su casa discográfica lanza, escasas semanas despuíés de la publicación de un nuevo trabajo: "Here for a Good Time", un En este doble álbum se incluye parcticamente sus mejores interpretaciones como "Amarillo by morning" o "Easy come easy go", pero en la que incomprensiblemente no se incluye uno de sus mejores temas "Run".
Uno de los grandes que los amantes de este estilo musical no deben dejar de conocer.
