 think the language barrier was a small disadvantage as she couldn't interact with the crowd so much. If there had been more hardcorrfans it would have been better... anyway, she asked us to sing along the chorus of Dreams  she spoke a little bit in Spanish when introducing the songs: "nos vamos" (let's go!) and when she was drinking from her mug, she said "chin chin" (which is similar to saying "cheers!"). She also did the clapping in so Young as The Corrs used to do it in there gigs... so it was very lively 

And then, at the end of the gig, we could meet Sharon and Jim!! she signed my album, i asked her about The Voice (which i'd like to watch live) and we had some pics with them... I have to say her tour manager (Henry) was very nice to us.

and... appart from this, the Spanish promoter told me that probably there'll be more gigs in Spain next year

The Corrs dieron con la fórmula perfecta para convertir al folk irlandíés en un producto pop multitudinario. Sharon Corr ha sabido conservar dicha esencia y, ahora, en su carrera en solitario, ha podido demostrar que se maneja muy bien en todos los registros, ya sea en las baladas lentas, en los temas más rockeros e incluso en las versiones de los clásicos tradicionales.

Corr mantiene el espí­ritu de los años noventa de una manera fiel y su carrera en solitario es una clara prolongación de aquellos íéxitos del pasado. De este modo, arropada por un sexteto versátil y con la participación de su hermano Jim Corr en la guitarra acústica y el piano en dos tema, la cantante interpretó casi í­ntegramente su primer álbum en solitario con tí­tulos como Cooleys reel; Ears painted on; Everybodys gotta; It's not a dream o Smalltown boy que jugaban con atmósferas entre convencionales y neopsicodíélicas.

Momentos álgidos fueron, desde luego, recuerdos a su ex banda que despertaron la ovación de los asistentes con tí­tulos como Radio y, sobre todo, Dreams, relegada al final como la mejor despedida posible.

ada año, el cantante irlandíés Ronan Keating organiza el evento Emeralds & Ivy Ball. Dicho evento celebra la asociación entre Cancer Research UK y Marie Keating Foundation (fundación contra el cáncer en honor a la madre de Ronan, que murió de esta enfermedad) y recauda fondos para ambas instituciones. Este año, Emeralds & Ivy Ball tendrá lugar hoy sábado 3 de diciembre en Supernova situado en Embankment Gardens, Londres, y contará con la asistencia de Sharon como invitada especial. Funding Cancer Information Units - prevention is better than cure.

Emeralds & Ivy celebrates the partnership between Cancer Research UK and the Marie Keating Foundation. Since 2006 this event has raised an incredible £2.9 million to fund two mobile Cancer Information Units, staffed by specialist nurses and health advisors.

These Units play a vital role in helping to prevent cancer through earlier detection and diagnosis. They deliver vital messaging to the public about lifestyle changes they can make to prevent cancer, and the early signs and symptoms of which to be aware. It is thought that 50% of cancers could be prevented by changes to lifestyle, so the more people that we can bring this information to, the more lives we can save. In 2011 we will celebrate the 200,000th person to step onboard one of these Units. This wouldn't be possible without the money raised at Emeralds & Ivy. With your support this year we will continue to make a real difference.

El pasado martes 13 de diciembre, la aerolí­nea Emirates celebró una fiesta en The Convention Centre, Dublí­n, con motivo de la inauguración de la nueva ruta aíérea entre Dublí­n y los Emiratos írabes. El evento contó con Sharon como maestra de ceremonias, y las actuaciones de Riverdance y Lionel Richie.

ONE MORE THING: THEY WERE practically dancing on the ceiling at the Conference Centre Dublin on Tuesday night as Dubai airline Emirates spared no expense to entertain its 800 guests at the official launch of its new route to Dublin.

No less an entertainer than Lionel Ritchie and his entourage were flown in to provide the post-dinner entertainment – all night long.

Sharon Corr was the glamourous MC and there was even a dance ensemble to keep travel trade representatives and the smattering of politicians entertained as they quaffed Champagne and fine wines.

Emirates has poured a fortune into marketing the new Dublin-Dubai route – which takes off on January 9th – branding a Dart and saturating traditional advertising avenues.

Meanwhile, its Abu Dhabi rival Etihad has announced that it will use the new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on its Dublin route some time after 2014.

The airline, which has a four-year start on Emirates in Ireland, has placed a large order with Boeing for the 300-seat aircraft, and said it would initially fly the aircraft on routes to Dublin, Frankfurt, Kuala Lumpur, Beijing, Delhi and Istanbul, as well as Nagoya in Japan.

The battle between Emirates and Etihad for passengers from Ireland to the Middle East and beyond is shaping up to be an interesting contest.

Hoy, la promotora musical Rag Lane ha publicado un mensaje en Twitter dando a conocer que el próximo viernes 23 de marzo, Sharon ofrecerá un concierto í­ntimo en Pepper Canister Church, Dublí­n. Las entradas estarán a la venta a partir del lunes.
