The Cranberries bring it all back home – well, almost home! – on June 29 when they play Cork Live At The Marquee. Tickets go on sale on Friday March 5 priced €54.80.Having taken a six-year ‘time out’, the band reconvened last year for a world tour that has been doing brisk business in the States and Canada. This has encouraged their former record label, Island, to release Bualadh Bos: The Cranberries Live (the first bit means “clap your hands†in Irish), a 15-tracker culled from concert performances between 1994 and 1998. These include a Trip To Tipp rendition of ‘Dreams’, which had Semple Stadium well and truly rocking.

Hey there, I'm in Strasbourg on a six week tour of Europe with the cranberries. I just noticed that I haven't written anything since November 2009. My apologies, I've been sleeping a lot! Ha.The tour in South America was great but there was huge amounts of travelling in between which made the whole thing a lot more strenuous, but we're back in Europe and have our own buses so life is more relaxed.I was shocked to see the damage the Earthquake did in Chile. I spoke to some of the people I met there and thankfully they are all safe and well. When this leg of the tour finishes I will be back in the studio for a few weeks to finish off mixing the 'SI' album . It's sounding really nice and I'm excited about hearing the final result.I've been eating books out her, I finished the Stieg Larrson 'Girl with the dragon Tattoo' trilogy, read two books from Raymond E Feist and am on the hunt for the third. Just finished A book by another Swedish writer named Henning Menkell, it's a murder mystery called 'Sidetracked'. Also read The Lovers by John Connolly book which was terrifyingly amazing. I shall be checking out more of his books when I finish the one I'm reading now....Hmm, maybe I should just have a little book review page. For anyone who plays drums I posted some pictures of my drumkit from the South American tour in the photo's section.take care,Fergal.
