Sharon Corr (above) says having two children has “completely” changed her attitude to life.


“I don’t think I knew the world before I had children, it’s a very strange thing. I knew it from a very blinkered perspective, not a closeted one or an indulged one because we were never like that as a family, but from the point of view of realising just how vulnerable you are,” said the fiddler (41) from Dundalk, Co Louth.

On October 1 Sharon will perform at Dublin’s National Concert Hall in aid of the suicide prevention, intervention and bereavement charity Console.

“When you have two children it kind of takes the rose-tinted glasses off and you see the world in all its beauty and in all its horror as well and it makes you feel very vulnerable and very protective,” she said.


“I think it has opened me up hugely on an emotional level and I would say my songs very very deeply emotional and appreciating what you have.”

Hoy, el equipo de Sharon ha actualizado los conciertos de la gira europea de Sharon incluyendo dos nuevas fechas en España. Los conciertos tendrán lugar el jueves 17 y el viernes 18 de noviembre en Las Palmas de Gran Canaria en el Centro Cultural de La Caja de Canarias (CICCA). Tanto las páginas de la fundación Console como la página del National Concert Hall han eliminado todas las referencias al concierto beníéfico del 1 de octubre. De acuerdo con un un correo electrónico enviado hoy por el propio National Concert Hall, el concierto ha sido cancelado por Console debido a circunstancias que escapan a su control.

We regret to inform you that the upcoming Sharon Corr concert scheduled for 1st October 2011 at The National Concert Hall has been cancelled.

Console, who had originally planned the event to help raise funds for the charity, have cancelled the concert due to circumstances beyond their control.

l pasado viernes tras su visita a los estudios de The Late Late Show, Sharon pasó una velada entre amigos en la sala de fiestas Lillie's Bordello, uno de los locales más prestigiosos de Dublí­n. Entre los asistentes se encontraban Bono, Julian Lennon y los miembros de Snow Patrol, entre otros.

BONO was spotted partying in top nightclub Lillie's Bordello this weekend.

Fresh from raising his pint of Guinness on Arthur's Day, Bono arrived in the top Dublin club on Friday night.

The U2 frontman spent the night chilling out with pal Julian Lennon who had just wrapped up his stint on The Late Late Show with Ryan Tubridy.

Speaking on the show, the son of Beatle John Lennon showed Ryan photographs he had taken of Bono in France while performing with the number one band.

An insider said Bono spent most of the night chatting with Julian.

"Bono has always been a big fan of Lillie's, it seems to be the only place he goes when he's in town.

"He's quite a private guy so he kept to himself most of the night in the VIP area but he often goes to the Library and chats with other guests."

Also seen partying in the Lillie's VIP area were singer Sharon Corr, the band members of Snow Patrol, MTV presenter Laura Whitmore, soccer pundit Ray Houghton and Masterchef star Dylan McGrath.
